Re: Just wanted to share my good news
Well, we had a good night. He slept from 2 til 7 in his crate and didn`t mess. Then as I was feeding the others had a sneaky poo in the front room!
Cassie seems to be sorting him out, showing how to do his business in the garden and how to behave. Neo is not happy at all and tends to keep out of his way. Though the pup loves to try and chew his tail and ears! The cats tolerate him. The love birds just throw seed at him! I think his name is going to be Aero, it was offered up as an option during a family discussion and it seems to have stuck! Thank you for all your comments and advice. Much appreciated. I just don`t remember it being so stressful when we introduced Neo. But, then again BC puppies are quite different! The advice about the car journey wouldn`t work, I`m afraid. The old 2 love car journeys because it means long walks in the forest! I am off out for a bit of a rest and recupperation and leaving the OH in charge... ![]() |

Re: Just wanted to share my good news
Sorry to hear of your loss - but the little fellow is a beatuy. You don't need me to tell you the pupster will never replace the older dog - but it does help the healing/grieving process I feel when we have to run around after a pupster.
regards DT ps - he looks adorable (but don't be fooled) full of mischief no doubt |

Re: Just wanted to share my good news
If that isn't fate working it's magic then I don't know what is!!! What a sad story with a wonderful ending!! Many many happy years with your new pup, he's absolutely gorgeous!!
![]() When I got Sidney as a 8 week old pup, my older boy Cromwell completely ignored it...in fact pretty much still does after 5 years!!! Tiz the bitch mothered him for about a week then he got on her nerves so she floored him and he soon learnt his place!! Since then I've added 2 more additions and each time Cromwell ignores them and Tiz mothers them!!! I'm sure your little pack will sort itself out in no time. I look forward to seeing how little Aero turns out (nothing more exciting than getting a surprise dog!!) |

Re: Just wanted to share my good news
I`m beginning to become one of those boring new mothers, sorry!!
Aero is settling in well. I`ve left the adults to sort him out with only supervision from us. That seems to be sorting all the problems out. I was worried about biting etc, but nope, they srt themselves out. Aero now follow Cassie and does his business outside (unless hubby is baby sitting and decides it`s too cold!!). Neo is even tolerating the ear and tail biting. So, getting better. The hole left by Beau isn`t filled by any means, but is softened a little by a monster called Aero! |
