Get some nail clippers and do it yourself

Re: Microchip or not?

As Sallyanne says Katy - getting your pup used to nail clippers as early as possible is the best thing you could do.

As sally and DT said, get Cody used to having his paws and nails touched, if you feel confident clip hem yourself.
Mine both have Black nails and I can't see where the quick is so I don't like to cut them myself. My vets charge 12 pounds, when they go to the groomers they get wash, cut, ears and nails done for 20.

Hello and welcome

I agree have your dog Microchipped, yes they do move a round but they are easy to find with the scanner.

We take Amber to the vets and have one of the nurses trim her nails as they are black and very strong.

Re: Microchip or not?

Hi All

When Pip was checked at the rescue by the vet, he did her microchip too. Its over quickly, then its there for life. I would feel more confident if Pip did go missing, knowing she had the chip in there.

The more things we can do to keep out pets safe the better

I got some doggy nail scissors and I do Oscar's myself. If he's in a wriggly mood, I can only do one nail at a time!

If you don't want him castrated don't be pressured into it.
Vets really annoy me when you take pups for there first vacs and they are pushy about neutering.
As long as you are responsible and there is no reason medically to have him done leave him entire.
