pug prices

I am wandering, about pugs.

I am looking on epupz and seeig the range i prices. Some are around £1000+ but others are less, for example one is £460 and says they are fully health checked and come with a health card and have all their first vaccines and have been flea treated and wormed, and also microchipped.

I mean what is the different betwen that and a high priced pug. Are you geting better bred pugs. I dont want a show dog, and for any dog like this would cheaper but still health checked mean that they would not be as 'correct' as show dogs?

Re: pug prices

i know! i am completely undecided but have a few breeds in mind

i am in contact with one person who has a 3/4 chihuahua 1/4 spitz pups but mum thinks they will be to small and delicate, so we have not decidd about them yet

but i was searching and saw thee pugs, only realizing they are available now not late jan but now i saw some 3/4 pugs, 1/4 jack russell which appeal to me and mum more, only thing that i worry about is health.

Re: pug prices

My mum recently sold a litter of pug puppies and she had a few people who said there are a lot of scammers and bad breeders advertising pugs. Unfortunately they have become a breed people think are 'cool' because of celebrities owning them and so prices can be extortionate for no reason other than greed.

Re: pug prices

i suggest you go along and see some litters with their parents, be open minded but also strong enough to walk away.

i think u need to go and see some of the dogs in the flesh as u will then get an idea of looks, personality etc

Re: pug prices

yes true, i think they are wonderful, but very over [prices, the ones i am interested in are 450 which even that is expensive, but for me it is about the dog not the price

i will most likely phone the advertiser and ask about health checks etc

450 is some of the cheapest pugs I have ever seen, in fact for any kc registered dog these days 450 is on the lower side of things it seems....
