Puppy food and feeding times

Since we've had Ruby, she has 3 meal times.

First, breakfast, is between half 8-9am, and we give her pedigree dry puppy food.

Her second is between 1-1.30pm, and we give her pedigree wet puppy food.

Then her last again is between half 6-7pm, when we give her dry food again.

How long does this routine last for? Shes 3 months now, at what age do we start to bring her down to two meals a day? Or do we increase/decrease the amount we give her at each food?

Thanks x

Re: Puppy food and feeding times

I have always had my dogs on 2 meals a day from about 4-4 and a half months but I think they generally say 6 months is when its okay to come down to two a day.

Re: Puppy food and feeding times

I'm worried that i'm over feeding her or something?

Now we got her a kong we put the food in there too, so i dont put as much in as i usually would.

Would it be better to give her her morning feed, then give her the kong around dinner time, then give her an evening feed as normal?

I cant see a problem with that myself. When I give my dogs a kong I just feed them less for breakfast so that I dont end up over feeding and then give them their normal amount in the evening.
