Not sure how well I can relate this story - but when it happened I nearly wet myself with laughter and embaresment

I was walking through the park today - the dogs were off lead - Zipper playing fetch and Lilly chasing Zipper.
There were a couple of friendly football matches going on - there are 3 large pitches and 2 small pitches in the park. Now if there are tournaments on I keep them both on lead. However as it was friendlies and both dogs always follow me around - running off for a sniff here and there and then coming back to me - and we avoid the football pitches when they are in use.
Well today - Lilly - who never wonders far decided to go around to the other side of the pitch with a group of older teenagers having a pretty intensive and competitive match.
I called her and carried on walking as as soon as she sees me heading off she runs after me in a bit of a panic

Well today she decided not to listen and carried on having a good sniff - then she suddenly looked up and realised she couldn't see me - So this little 7lb dog (about the size of a maltese) ran straight through the middle of the football match. I'm stood off to the side calling her - she decides to run up and down the middle of the pitch- by this time all the lads have stopped play and are watching her waiting for her to leave the pitch

I'm stood calling her and she runs off in the opposite direction at this point everyone else in the park has stopped what they are doing and are also watching me and Lilly.

She dissapears around the corner in her panic at this point my heart is in my mouth - Luckily she realises I'm not there and comes running back - I'm still calling, the park is at a standstill and she suddenly spots me

She comes running full pelt straight back through the football pitch and sits at my feet at which point the park breaks out into a round of applause and the lads restart their game

I was so embaressed I just put her lead on and walked off as quick as I could
(all this time Zipper bless him had been sat by my feet!!!)
