An eventful day...a nice walk, car issues, and yukky wildlife! (pic heavy)

Well the day started fine, a lazy morning at home then we all decided we'd go to the local man-made beach and lake to take Nikita for a walk...not that there would be any sandcastles today, we're still snow covered here.

So, off we went for our snowy walk...

Having enjoyed our stroll we set off home, I went to turn down the drive and after a slight mishap we found ourselves needing some help from the lovely Mr next door and his tractor!

Yep, the car slid on the ice and I put it in a ditch! fortunately we were going so slowly there was no harm done or damage to the car (good job really as the car isn't mine!)

He pulled us out and we made it home at last, all was well again and we settled down to relax for the evening, I let Nikita outside for a wee when she suddenly grabbed something and ran with it!
It looked like a piece of bark from a tree at first but I wasn't sure...anyway whatever is was she wasn't wanting to give it up, so we're out there in the dark chasing the dog around in the snow with a torch, freezing our butts off and finding it difficult to catch her in the snow...we eventually got her and it turned out to be a very decomposed but frozen rabbit!!! ...it was gross, it wasn't actually recognisable but I did see a bit of fur at one end which looked...well, rabbity...so I'm guessing thats what it once was

I thought I'd be better not including a pic of the rabbit in my story

After a busy day she had a well-earned sleep

Lovely pics, did Nikita eat the Rabbit? I bet its froze to death in these temps we're having.
Glad you got the car out in 1 piece. I done exactly the same last year and had to get a tractor-I didn't have any snow as an excuse though

No she didn't really get chance to eat it, she had a quick chew but then spent the rest of the time just running with it dangling out of her mouth with us chasing her!...I usually love her kisses but now I'm not so sure

My first ever accident, only a little one so I prefer to call it a small mishap....and it was the fault of the ice anyway haha
