Glad you are having a good weekend.
Consider if you really want your pup tackling stairs until the joints around the shoulders are more muscular and developed. If you watch your pup tackle the downward trip (an action they do not encounter in nature) it is a two legged jump, this puts strain on the joints around the shoulders. I have read that this may be a contributing factor to muscular-skeletal development problems or dysplasia later in life. Get a stair-gate. |

Re: Its been a weekend of 'firsts' for our pup xx
Sorry folks, photobucket is not playing ball for me tonight to get photos on - will try again later.
Regarding the stairs.... we actually live in an upside down house (!!!)..... all living accomodation is upstairs and we access outside from upstairs too so he actually doesn't really ever have to go up or downstairs!! We have a stair gate over the top of the stairs anyway from when kids were younger so now just have to remember to keep it shut when i go down to the laundry room. He is such a mummy boy and goes wherever i go which is why he clearly plucked up the courage to give it a go... xxx
