my confusion over Dog Insurance.

This is a an example of one of the quotes that I got for Sasha..I Don't understand the (( Vet Fees - Amount Per Condition Per Year 500.00 )) and the (( Vet Fees - Amount Per Policy Per Year 3.000 ))

Doe's it mean Treatment for 1 accident or illness you get 500.00 towards costs.

But can claim UPTO 3.000 per year for more than 1 accident or illness

I Don't think it's enough cover Do you? As I know a Broken leg can cost over 2.000 I'm confused ......

Typical quote below.

Annual Premium

£111.36

Total Excess

£99

Type of Cover

Time
Limited

Vet Fees - Amount Per Condition Per Year

£500

Vet Fees - Amount Per Policy Per Year

£3,000

Vet Fees - On-going Condition Limit

N/A

Policy Benefits:-

Vets’ fee cover to £3,000 annually

Advertising & Reward cover to £100 to help recover your lost pet

Public Liability cover of £1 m for dogs

Re: my confusion over Dog Insurance.

Sounds a rubbish one though it is quite cheap so that is probably why. Definitely not worth paying for insurance though for such a small amount of vets bill.
I think Argos is 7000 per incident for the life of the policy.

Insurance: What the large print giveth, doth the small print taketh away!

Yes, the policy will pay (reluctantly) upto £500 per incident, with up to £3,000 in total per year. (probably less the excess fee)

If you need to cover the big ticket items, CHD repair etc. you need greater cover. Which generally means higher premiums.

I found their site for car insurance very good at fine tuning the details to get the best cover/cost combination. Pet Insurance » Get the Cover Your Pet Deserves | Gocompare.com
