Off to visit Pit Bulls & Parolee's Country!

Not me but two of my daughters in the late summer. They are volunteering and will stay at the ranch for a week first off to see if they like it and can go back again at a later date. They have been told it's hard work, starts at 7am and ends when the last PB is tucked up in bed.

They want to see first hand what the dogs are like and it's a kinda working holiday. I think it's great and a good excuse to visit New Orleans. Just hops it doesn't flood again, lol.

Will post more nearer the date but expect it will be September as they have to book annual leave from work and also fit in with the ranch's vacancies. Bet it will be tough going and that's why they want to go for a week first off - they need their backs for nursing when they come home.

It will cost £500 for a return flight and then they will need their food etc. and if they want to go to the town after work, which I hope they don't lol!

Re: Off to visit Pit Bulls & Parolee's Country!

I'm also very jealous I don't think me going on a trip there would be any good. I think pits are beautiful dogs and would give my right arm to own one - I wouldn't want to come home and would somehow convince my OH to move to New Orleans lol.

I can only echo that they take LOTS of pictures and we get to see them all.

Re: Off to visit Pit Bulls & Parolee's Country!

Ooow def lots of pics and vids, want to send some to some snotty MP's too showing how lovely these dogs can be when treated properly.

Just waiting for the confirmation letter now. They'll be roughing it in a dorm with pull out beds and not much home comforts but a wonderful experience all the same and the dogs on the prog are gorgeous. Hopefully no bee swarms though, lol!
