Very unfortunate that they both carry the recessive gene that has become apparent in our little one.

This is why we are in such a predicament!

Re: Opinions please!

Naming the breed seemed to be avoided on another thread by the OP when asked several times.

But Sleeping Lion mentioned Wheatens, not sure if that is the OP's pup as I couldnt see where the ref came from.

Re: Opinions please!

'We'll take the puppy back if there’s any health problems' is, in my opinion, a ploy used by bad breeders. Once someone has got a family pet which they've bonded with, there is no way they're giving that puppy back in exchange for a new puppy. I could understand if they bought the dog for working/showing purposes, but still I think that would be very unlikely event.

Should they be paying the vet fees? Probably. Are they legally obliged to? Not sure, do you have a contract? Fancy PM'ing me the breeder details?

Oh yeah it does mention a wheaten terrier! It also says that they will b bringing the puppy home at 7wks. I thought that breeders were only supposed to let them go to their new homes at 8weeks and up?

Well I would not call SCWT a rare breed. There were more than 400 puppies registered with the KC last year, many breeds had less than a 100.
