Ernie training Update :)

for anyone who has offered advice and suport in the past thought I would post about how he is doing

weeeelllllllllll

we are at least 14 days 'without incident' at the mo..... by that I mean he has been very good and not made too much of a naughty of himself (apart from chewing my asda magazine that I had not read.... but It WAS on the floor)

so areas we have been working on

Recall - we are at 80% if dogs about and 100% if we are alone
Heal off lead - really good, but still working with treats
sit and stay - I can get really REALLY far and he stays sitting waiting for the 'HERE' command

oh and he has really picked up whistle training, even did a imediate turn and return the other day when he was in mid pelt to see a dog friend.

still very much needed work,

Off and Retrieve (waiting for a book to come for retrieve work )

also and this is my proudest moment, in training class on wednesday he did the following 100% perfect

in a room with 12 other dogs, I got him to sit, wait, walk to the other end of the room, turn and recall finishing on a sit.....

amazing! did it perfectly I nearly cried with joy

so, all in all, progress

thanks for reading XX
