I think we must have a sign over the door that dogs can read, it says 'everyone welcome'
Years ago after Max died a lab that had been roaming the street all day just wandered in and laid on the mat quite at home.(we found the owner next day.).
Then Remy arrived and never left..
Today I heard a bark outside and saw a girl with a JRT looking at an elderly Beagle who was standing outside my door with his lead trailing behind...
I opened the front door thinking I knew this dog . The girl said 'is it one of yours'?
No i said but before I could say anything else the beagle wandered in...
I told her I knew him and would get him home..and by the time I got into the living room my 3 had all said hello and our guest was having a sniff round the kitchen..
After giving him a chance to catch his breath I got my coat on and walked him the short distance home, where his owner was looking down the road wondering where he had gone...
They have three dogs too and with gloved hands this lead had slipped unnoticed and the dog had wandered off,.. The man was so happy.
I wonder though, how come they all wander into my place?
