Cross breed humans???
A snippet of conversation that happened between me and my daughter today :
Leila : what are babies called that have parents from different countries? Me : how do you mean?....what are they called, they just have parents of different nationalities Leila : Well I mean, if the mummy is English and the daddy is from another country...say Italy or something, would the baby be like how dogs are with different mums and dads, are they a cross breed baby?

Kids are just brilliant ![]() Dred to think what I would be ![]() A little bit of Spanish add a dash of Romany, a lot of Cornish (I know that's English - but I think they need to have there own catagory ) and the rest English ![]() |

Re: Cross breed humans???
My OH is definitely a cross breed in Leila's eyes then....his mother is Portuguese, his father is French but he was born and raised in London then moved to France at 16 years old.
He now has a new nickname...the kids usually call him "Daniel the spaniel", I think he'll just be "cross breed" from now on ![]() I must be a purebred Yorkshire.

If you look at some of the most beautiful people (models etc) they are often the result of parents whose origins are from different countries.
The national "look" of many people is the result of marrying cousins although not very close relations. Before you deny this when you are in a foreign country you can often tell a person from your own country at a distance. ![]() |

Quote:
We have gone way past 10 generations back to look at our 'pedigree'. My mom had a fascination with this stuff. No cousins intermarried back there. My kids are Irish, Dutch, Scottish, French, British, Iroquois, Cree, Italian, Welsh, and African (freed black Irish Slave). They look caucasian despite having one grandmother who looked fully Cree (she was not, she just looked it). I know many families here with similarly colorful ancestry . . . so it makes it very hard for 'Canadians' that come from a long ancestral history in Canada to have a look that others would call recognizably 'Canadian', I do believe.
