Can any of you BC owners help me out please

I am drawing a collie and the pic quality is not that great so I need some detail of an ear.

The dog is looking to the side but I can still see the other eye and top of the other ear but I need a good pic of the ear folds of the near ear.

The ear is in this position Redirect Notice

but the dog is looking to the left a bit more. I've done the ear outline, well the top and the side that is sticking out from his head and and I can see the bottom of the ear where the fold is as there is a tiny bit of ginger but I just can't get the fold right in beteen the bottom of his ear and where it joins back to his head


Can anyone help

I can't get any more pics of him and of course I will share it on here soon

Ok don't know if this will help and if you can zoom in it would be better but he's Clover after a bath thought it might be clearer for you if not then got others but her ears don't go all the way down like the collie's that your drawing.

I don't think photos of Shadow will help as he is a smooth coat and also his ears are different than that also. Every border Collie I have met seem to have different ears so you may find it hard to find a dog with exactly the same folds as the one you are drawing. Nice picture BTW

I've just had a quick look through my photos and sod's law, I can't find one of any of my dogs in that position.

If you get really stuck I'll get Quiver to pose later this evening as her ears are similar.

I think I have got the ear wrong.....

The bottom of the ear Im looking at the underside I think now.... So does that make where the ginger fur comes out is actually on his head not on the ear? God Im confused
