Just to let you know 1st class standard offers the exact same "protection" (for want of a better word!) as recorded delivery The compensation level is the same (£34.00 I think... it's around that amount anyway) as long as you have proof of postage - if you have these (the receipts from the post office) then you can claim back for all the lost orders

i got reciepts but because they only gave me normal reciepts they said its not POP i need a proper POP reciept

have been asking for them since then!

Oh that's harsh

My post office gives me the individual receipts for each parcel (this is for ebaying) that prints off from their machine and they write the post code and house number on each one and that's always been enough when I've needed to make a claim... luckily only about 4 or 5 in all the years I've been selling on ebay.

yea thats what i get now started asking for proper ones a few weeks ago when the christmas ones still hadnt shown up and they said i couldnt claim

thats really handy thank you I didnt know that
Ive had a couple go missing, and a couple take so long the orders were mouldy when they got there dont know where I would stand with that situ to be honest.
