It's not just owners that needs educating,it's Breeders breeding dogs with poor temperaments, owners need to make sure they have a well trained, socialised dog and Parents also need to be responsible with dogs around their children. So Breeders/owners/parents need to be held accountable. The first link I put up....now I don't blame the dog as far as I'm concerned that was the childs mothers fault, she went into a garden unsupervised around a dog that was eating.

Re: Another Attack
The lastest news on the 'attack' is that it wasnt an attack at all. Apparently they have shown a video of the man taking his dog on its usual walk and the poor guy fell over and knocked himself unconscious - it appears that the dog was trying to drag him home/wake him up.. So so desperately sad.

Re: Another Attack
oh my god i own a rotti n i love him to death he is such a softy yet he is only one, i like to think that im a good dog owner i have socialised him to the highest standards yet all this negative press and people constantly saying he will eat my kids when he gets older as had an affect on me i surpose u could say it's made me more determind to have him perfectly trainned. My rotti loves people and children and does get off on tonnes of attention, in my experience sticking one of these handsom dogs in a yard and not giving it the attention and socialization it needs would make him mad in no time and a danger to anyone, im not saying im right this is just my opinion. i would love to ea what u all think.

Re: Another Attack
Unfortunately some people who own large breed dogs use them as guard dogs on places such as scrap yards etc.. and teach them to be vicious towards people. If dogs like these get in to the wrong hands later in life they potentially can be dangerous.
