Not often I wish I had a garden...

... but when you're battling a flu like virus, can hardly stand, and it's freezing outside, the dog is taking her time peeing..is one time I really wish I had a garden

Re: Not often I wish I had a garden...

Hi
Hope you get better & feel better soon, I could do with a garden as well. It was great at my mother's just opened the door and let him out and yes it is getting cold and all they want to do is stay out in this freezing weather.

Lost count on how many times I have took him out...perhaps I shouldn't have given that ham bone as a treat.

Re: Not often I wish I had a garden...

That's all well and good....but you might have a dog that won't toilet in the garden like Kilo at our old house (not secure and shared so he couldn't be offlead / unsupervised in there so wouldn't help you much anyway!!) . He will go in this one on some mulch...reluctantly .

Re: Not often I wish I had a garden...

When Clover was little I taught her to pee on command, but she seems to have lost it now. I also taught her going on front was not playtime/sniff time, but she quick pee time, but I suspect the foxes have been around, as she went mad

Feeling lots better today, thanks. Clover got a 40 min walk this morning, and a 1.5 hour walk this afternoon, so she is flat out

Re: Not often I wish I had a garden...

Gardens are fantastic until you have to stand outside in them waiting for them to go. Or, until a certain Pixel decides to distract Eira so that they end up running up and down the garden instead of pee'ing- causing you to freeze your socks off in the cold.

Needless to say, he doesn't come out with her in the garden now if we're after a quick turnaround!

Glad you're feeling better!
