Chewsticks
My Scottie Maisie adores chewsticks
the type like a cardboard pencil various colours priced between a £1.00p. & £2.00p. per bundle of about 100. Can anyone tell me what the recipe consists of as they appear to look like flavoured rolled woodchip as a treat its always the first thing to be chosen out of her bowl. I would like to give her several during the course of the day as I tend to not over feed her and wondered if 3 or 4 over the course of the day would promote to much weight gain. Any help or advice would be most appreciated. Thank You. Harry. |

Re: Chewsticks
I don't THINK rawhide has many calories - but don't quote me as I'm not sure.
I would be concerned about the amount of colourings and preservatives in chews like that though. A more natural alternative such as Cow or Venison ears or the ones catz4m8z has suggested. Zooplus is a great website for alternative chews ![]() |
