I can't believe Biggles has only been fully mine for 48 hours...
This morning I got up at 5.30 cos he was crying his 'I made a mess' cry - went and cleaned up (ignoring him) and went back to bed and he settled right back down after a couple whimpers just gone 7am I got up properly, cleaned up after him again and did breakfast, some training and some playtime Was stood at sink washing his bowl and started to have a fairly severe anxiety attack as I realised properly that I'm in control of his training, molding his behaviour and so on and how big a responsibility this is Just as I'm getting to the part of the attack where I'm convinced I can't breathe and am going to die - Biggles came over and sat on my feet with a whuff and headbutted my shin until I gave him fuss - it was *just* the thing I needed to head off a really bad attack and even though I ended up sat on the floor crying he just sat on my knee and snuggled close Not bouncing or licking or anything - just leaning Animals are so inherently *wise* - it just astounds me that even as young as he is and he's only just getting to know me... he still knew exactly what I needed and when. Add to the fact that we were originally going to shut him in his crate at night but he was too stressed so we just have his bed in there and leave him with the run of the kitchen - today we managed to give him 5 minutes in the crate with no whining or pawing at the bars at all! he just curled up on his bed. He's a total star and I am convinced my Max chose him for me - to be the dog that can help save me from my anxiety disorder and make me laugh and smile again ![]()

Re: Amazed by Biggles
Biggles is definitely a special little boy. Over the coming months I am sure he will test your patience with his behaviour & training but just try to remember that he is just being a puppy and as he grows & learns his conditional love for you will always be there and your bond will grow even stronger.
Have fun with him xx
