It was misty across the river,but I also had been playing with my camera and managed to adjust the exposure,so they were all a little underexposed.
I really must try and find some instructions.

If you go onto your cameras website, say it was kodak, go to the kodak website, they might have some downloadable manuals ??? Worth a try atleast.
If not putting the make and model into a search engine might come up with somewhere that does give you downloadable manuals, or even forums where you can get all the info you need for the settings
