Feeling philosophical...

Took the pickles on an epic walk today, the sun was shining, the birds were singing.... ok the seagulls were squarking doesn't quite have the same ring to it, but it was lovely!

We walked up to the top of the cliffs, no-one else around, sat down on a very conveniently place little bench and looked at this:

Now, I'm not a particularly deep and meaningful person, but as I sat up there looking out to sea in the sunshine with just my 2 best buddies for company I thought "Well how bloody lucky am I?"
I sometimes take for granted the place I live and the things I have and really ought to take the time to appreciate it more.

This isn't meant to be a bragging thread.... "Oooh look how lucky I am!" as I believe this applies to everyone. We live in a beautiful country (even those people who might not like the area they live in, I bet you've got amazing places on your doorstep if you go out and find them) and best of all we've got the best company to share it with.

So give your hounds a hug and think yourself lucky that you've got a reason to get up in the mornings and someone who loves you and is always there to share all of lifes adventures with

Re: Feeling philosophical...

Gorgeous photo; I often have similar thoughts when I am out with the Boy Wonder - it's sometimes the simple things in life that are the best!

I agree

I sat on a fallen log under the stag oak on the left in this pic this afternoon and had the exact same thought as you did.

The photo was obviously not taken today...but it is one of my fave walks as starts just 10 mins cycle ride from my house.
