I've been away for the forum for quite some time, but with the recent events, I couldn't help but come back to introduce our new bundle of fluff. We had been looking for a while now for a second dog, and had our heart set on a blue merle rough collie after seeing a few at shows- where we fell head over heels for them. We were a waiting list which unfortunately either didn't take at the time, however...
Queue a few months back we heard about a litter on the grapeline, and the rest shall we say is history! We brought the yet un-named girly home this morning. She's eight weeks old, and has been fantastic- a bit of crying on the way home, but bar that fine.
Pixel is rather confused, but I'm trying to keep play down low at the moment whilst she settles in. She keeps iniating play with him however! (She's a right cheeky madam with him, she likes his tail and keeps trying to grab it!)
In fact, the biggest problem seems to be me: I've almost completely forgotten how Pix was and made a stupid error of not taking her outside the moment we got home (queue accident on the kitchen floor). However I'm sure we'll settle back into routine soon enough: only problem is that she doesn't seem to react to squeaking when she nibbles. Any ideas on what to do instead? The crate training is going beautifully though, she was crated as a pup, so it's a second home to her: it feels almost bizare that she'll happily waltz over to it and flop out to go to sleep. She also LOVES chewing on a kong, so I don't think chewing will be a massive issue if we keep the kongs stuffed with something tasty.
Our name list at the moment includes Flocke, Socretes (Socs) and Evie, but none of them have really stuck out yet. So any naming suggestions would be fantastic!
Cheeky madam appears to be taking today better than I am: she's really quite bold and spent the past hour exploring the kitchens ins and outs. I just need to learn to calm down a bit, I keep jumping at every sound.

As we speak she's pawing my other half in the face, bless her wie socks!
