Re: Today's walk rant -_-

What an awful walk. I had to read your post twice and then a third time. Not because i'm mentally deficient (well not simply because i'm mentally deficient) but because I couldn't believe it . The Kids were bad enough but the man well i dont' have words.

Be proud of your boys they did so well in the face of this extreme provocation.

Enjoy your kebab

Re: Today's walk rant -_-

Thanks guys rather enjoyed my kebab and malteser bunnies

I can imagine it sounds ridiculous but you couldn't make it up! I'm very proud that Chance didn't bite him as before he would have done and he doesn't let go, it would have probably made him think twice though about doing it again. But the look on his face when Chance growled with hackles up and lunging at him was TBH priceless.

Sometimes i really think some people should be muzzled...

Those kids (whether you can call them that, more like little ***** ) and the big **** would have deserved anything they got from your boys TBH. But with all the bad press, you could have had ten witnesses and everything would have been about an unprovoked dog attack .

I think we should petition for the right for dogs to self-defence. A similar sort of thing happened near Notting Hill Gate when out once. Drunk guy was kicking bins into the road that were full of glass. Boris started his Beagle howl... Everyone looked at us as if we had a mad dog; when he was warning everyone to a danger. No one noticed the nutter kicking bins, putting motorists at risk from punctures and him screaming at Boris in an intimidating way.

Catch it on camera first and then say, OH, you think you are tough do you? When the dog starts chasing them and so on... Some people are dispickable and our dogs have more social sensibilities than most who live in this self-centred materialistic world.

I can imagine what would have happened had either dog bit anyone after so much provoking but it is only self-defence to them but obviously dogs aren't allowed that right, and yes we got a few fowl looks as if i had such 'nasty viscous' dogs

Re: Today's walk rant -_-

People are unbelievable I had a bloke purposely stamp on Ruperts front leg when he was lying next to me in the bus station. He was well out of the way of anyone wanting to pass, I always made sure of that. The guy took a detour to stamp on him. I'm surprised I didn't get my ass kicked with my reaction No doubt it would have been Rupert at fault if he'd bitten him instead of screaming and trying to hide under a bench.

I also had a woman walk up to Shadow and smack him in the face. If he hadn't been on leash I think she'd have lost an arm. Again, if he'd managed to bite her (and boy did he try!) no doubt he would have been blamed.

Glad you and your two are okay despite the number of assholes you ran into on your walk.

Re: Today's walk rant -_-

Some people really are unreal!

I no full well if I did have hold of Chance he'd have bitten the dude and knowing him and how he play's he would have caused a lot of damage which i don't want as of course it would have been all his fault, Harv on the other hand will not retaliate it's just not in his nature (yet maybe when he matures) but he just cowers out of the way

Re: Today's walk rant -_-

Im so shocked!!
How could that man do such a thing? Seriously, I would report him to the police!!
As for the kids, I don't think swearing at them is a problem, as they probably hear it on a daily basis.. Kids that have been taught swearing is wrong will have also been taught to respect animals.
I would have gone nuts had I been in your position.

Re: Today's walk rant -_-

I can't blame you at all for reacting like that. I had the same problem when i lived in my old house. Lived next to a lane with a metal fence the council had put up and i looked out the window one afternoon to see one of the wee darlings trying to hit Ben over the head with a golf club!! Lets just say the air was a vivid shade of blue. Reported it to the police and the council community wardens and was told it was pointless them going to the parents because the parents didn't care

Makes you wonder how things will end up with attitudes like that one both sides of the law. I'm 30 this year and when i was younger i would never have dared to behave or talk back to anyone like they do now. Shows how times have changed

Sorry for the rant

Re: Today's walk rant -_-

What appalling behaviour from all concerned. I admire you for not retaliating. However I would choose a different area to train and play with your dogs.

I'm one who bangs on about education, but you can't put it, where it won't go.
