Took some photos of the big lump today as he has put a mahoosive amount of weight on since we got him 4 months ago.

Some background for those who don't know him. Chance is a now 2 year old american bulldog, whom we got from a rescue centre in September, he was very badly mistreated, starved, had ciggy burns on his head and muzzle, had never been on a lead (bar at the centre) no socialising, and yet is brilliant with other dogs.

This however means he is very nervous and wary of strange people and has made himself guard dog at home especially of me.

Anyway he was severely underweight at only 25kg when we got him, weighed him this morning at 42kg and looking a million times better then he did, he's also putting on muscle tone now he's up to a healthier weight. So thought i'd show you some photos from then and today!

WOW, he looks magificent now. I have to admit the photo of him on the sofa with his spine so prominent makes me wince. Well done you he really is a credit to your love care and attention.

Both boys look in fantastic condition, but you can really see a difference with Chance. Not just his weight but his coat is literally gleaming

How are their secret santa christmas toys from me and Florence holding up though? Not as well I guess if 42kg is anything to go by

I'm afraid they didn't last and ended up in bits all over the floor but they loved the kong wubba so we went out and bought another (which was promptly destroyed)

Wow has it only been 4 months? Feels like Chance has been part of PF for much longer!!! And what a difference, he looks so much happier and healthier, Harvey of course is his usual gorgeous self but doesn't look too chuffed at being woken up for pics
