Hi, just thought i'd share with you the fact that we got a new Bullmastiff puppy today! She is absolutely stunning. She's deep red and got a lovely black face. She's only been here for a couple of hours and she's so well behaved!
Firstly we decided to get another Bullmastiff as ive bred them for some time now and have always kept a pup back out of my girls to keep the line going.
Sadly the last litter my girl had was premature and we lost 15 on the operating table and decided to have her spayed there and then. I knew this meant the end of the line and as my girl is getting quite old now I thought it was time.
Anyway heres the story!
Phoned the people, an old couple, she had bred shown and was a listed judge of pugs. She knew her dogs, what she was doing, had house and lead trained them - sounded good. K.C reg, vaccinated, wormed, vet checked and living indoors etc. They had the mum and all the details of the sire. Oh and both parents had been hip scored before anyone starts!

I looked up the sires details online and he has a great pedigree etc.
Sadly they didnt have a pedigree of the mother as they lost it after they moved but she was there to see.
So, off we go and I was delighted when we got there. Lovely couple, wanted us to take our time. The pups were exactly as they said and everything was in order. The mum was lovely, so gentle and soppy. I had a look at the pups K.C papers and realised they hadnt ordered pedigrees from the Kennel Club but that was ok, Id looked into the sires background and could see the mum was a good type etc.
Sooo, we had decided on a red girl as the other girl was fawn and the spitting image of our old girl we have here.
We left a deposit and they wanted to see where she was going so decided to drop her off today!
We're so pleased with her, we introduced her to the others and all my other dogs love her, even my old girl who can be a grumpy old cow at times!

So, I was sitting here going through her paperwork and thought i'd search online for the mothers details.
Well, I almost fell off the chair! Firstly all along I recognised the mothers name, then I saw the grand parents names, then the g. grandparent - I had only bred her mother

but not only that I bred her grandmother and owned her great grand mother

D
This means that my old girl is the pups grand mother!! I hope you can all follow this lol.
Would you just believe that for a sunday afternoon!
The best news of all is the line carries on...

Needless to say we are more than thrilled.
I wondered why I didnt recognise the faces of the breeders though so I had a look back on my records and the day I had sold the pups mother was a day when I was at a horse show and had left my parents to meet the people when they came to look!
Anyway, just thought i'd share an unbelievable and longggg story with you all.
I cant add any pictures of her at the moment as my poxy camera has broke, typical

I'll get it sorted soon and post some pictures.
She's soundo at the moment bless her.
I still cant believe it!!!!
