Well the bottom line is, i am rehoming her as its the best thing for all concerned! i dont care what anyone has to say in a negative way, i cant live my life worrying what others think, i have to go with what i think is right for my own family. Like everybody else would do. All because something is right for one family does not mean to say it is right for another. not having a go, just getting a little fed up with the negativity on here. its not like i am just throwing her out on the street to fend for herself is it! Im doing my best for her, so i wish some people om here would give me a break!
Hi Carrie, for what its worth i think you are doing the right thing..Follow your heart, lets face it, god forbid the dog does hurt your child, you would never forgive yourself...as for those that have been negative towards you tell them to go fly a kite...PS. WELCOME TO THE FORUM, and good luck in your search for a new home for your dog...

Re: Home urgently needed.

Of course not one of us in is in the OP's current situation and haven't seen how the dogs interact with each other and her child.Children must come first.

Many problems can be worked through, however I get the feeling the OP feels her childs safety is compremised and feels out of her depth with the current situation.Dogs constantly going for each other and having scuffles and fights isn't fun for anyone, some dogs will live together other's won't.

I just wanted to make the OP aware that the RSPCA will PTS any dog they feel is unsuitable for rehoming.

The dogs trust I believe don't have such a policy so maybe that would be the right way to go,they can properly access the dog concerned and find a suitable home.

That is a very fair comment.

Indeed you must do what you feel right , forgive anyone who may have indirectly hurt your feelings , we see all the time people who give up on dogs because of little reasons and sometimes you try and advise and persuade the person that they are making the wrong choice , because sometimes it is the wrong choice because they are not educated about dogs and some of the behaviour that comes along with it ,
It can get frustrating and i think maybe views are dished out and it all goes a little over the top .

YOu must of courese see your family happy and maybe this will be a learning curve for anyone reading this , that sometimes a second dog isnt always the best idea , or the choice of second dog needs to be a carefull choice ,
sometimes we end up in situations that we feel we have no controll over and by that experience we learn .
I do hope you find a good home for the wee lady and hopefully someone will have better luck .
