The spray is just air, like you would use to clean out a camera lens, so I presume it would be safe, although it may make the parrot jump.

I second the others, there is much more that you can do rather than yelping or the other things you mentioned, and there are loads of threads on here to give you ideas and loads of people who would help.

I wouldn't be happy going to a trainer who advocated the use of a Pet Corrector spray for puppy mouthing and biting. It's important to train bite inhibition, and I might be wrong, but I don't think that's the way to do it.

I also have a german shepherd - and had her when she was a puppy, so I know what having one is like, but I wouldn't use this method.
