Anyone interested in a female Doberman?

I'm not sure if this is OK to post...Sorry if it's not!

The owner had her from a pup, and he's now too sick to give her the time she needs. She's intact still. Apparently she's OK with people, kids. Not sure about dogs or cats.

Black and Tan, female, five years old.

Needs rehoming as soon as possible. Small donation required to guarantee good home. I don't know how much he's after. PM me for further details on her whereabouts.

Re: Anyone interested in a female Doberman?

Best and safest way would likely to contact breed welfare and have a chat to them. Breed welfares usually vet prospective owners and do home checks,
match the dogs to the right homes, and also offer ongoing support should the new owner need it. Links to Dobie rescue

There are at least the above four Breed specific rescues

If we were in UK I'd love a Dobe; very elegant breed

Good luck with finding her an awesome new home

Sounds like he wants to sell her?? He should just be glad if a good home comes along rather than a 'donation'??

Re: Anyone interested in a female Doberman?

I'm glad there's a donation being asked, keeps away the freebie hunters/dog collectors.

I know a few dobie lovers, shall ask around and see if anyone is after a newbie, hopefully he'll get in touch with the rescues though.

Shame she's not neutered before being rehomed...would hate for her to go to be used as a money cow

Re: Anyone interested in a female Doberman?

I'd be interested in more information, as I'm currently keeping my eye open for a Dobermann bitch. Alas, I don't have the post count at the moment to PM.

A few issues, currently without Car so I suppose Location matters (for at least a few weeks, while sorting out a new one).

Secondly, my current dog seems to be leash reactive, although I've never had real issues with dogs in the past, recently he has been a bit 'jumpy' when on leash at other dogs thus it tends to cripple our chances of rehoming at the moment, as I presume he looks a lot more aggressive than he is.
Our staffy x bitch recently died, so hench why looking for a new dog.
On the leash reactive issue, I'm doing research on how to 'train it' out of him, but if I can't find out any useful info then I'm thinking of going to a local behaviorist. (He doesn't seem to bite, just jump and headbutt them :S he's weird hehe)

When I do eventually get a bitch, if she's not already neutered then I'll defo be getting it done.

It would be handy to find out if she was ok with other dogs, I wouldn't mind if she was a little bossy, and overconfident as it keeps Jack in check :P

More info would be awesome tho, unsure if you can PM me with the details?

Thanks.

No free to good home often attracts all the wrong people , many puppyfarmers pick up free to good home dogs to breed from , really awful

I don't think a small donation will stop puppy farmers if they really wanted her.
