car harness

Looking to get Molly a new car harness as I have lost her one. So confused about what is the best, quite like the dogs trust one as it appears to be padded which would give molly some comfort on long journeys but not sure on size as there is no measurement guide. What about clix (I think) is there a measurement guide available online?

Re: car harness

Quinn has a Clix harness and I'm very happy with it. Is easy to put on and off and she is very comfortable in it. Not sure about online size guide but I have a medium that I can measure for you if that helps? What kind of dog is it for? x

Molly is a whippet so she is deep chested. That would be great if you could measure and I can do the same. Is the Clix harness padded?

Re: car harness

Quinn wanted to model it for you! She got rather excited when I took it out to measure ... think she thought we were off out ... despite it being 1am!!

Yes, it's padded - the breast plate particularly so.

Circumference around chest is 60cm on the smallest fitting (which is Q's size) with expansion room of abt 12 cm.
The head 'hole' has circumference approx 62cm but isn't round!

The seatbelt thing just goes into ordinary seatbelt socket. There's a handy little pocket so you can tuck the end in when dog is walking to car etc.

Hope this helps x

Re: car harness

I use a Bergan harness - it's one of the few (or only?) crash-tested harnesses. It's a bit more expensive than other harnesses, but personally I think it's worth it for the piece of mind, especially if the dog travels frequently or long distances or fast roads.

Re: car harness

Quinn is adorable

Like the OP, I too am looking for a car harness, so am off to look at the Clix one.

I am also looking at the Ezydog 'quick fit' harness which apparently is very easy to use...
