Note to self: check pocket for plastic bags...

.......before going to the dog park! Do you know the feeling? A great big newfie sized poo in the middle of the dog field and you suddenly realise you have not one single bag!

Ever tried scooping that lot up with a few shredded tissues? Oh, the joys!

Re: Note to self: check pocket for plastic bags...

I went out once without bags, forgot that the night before Prince had pulled them out of my pocket
I panicked as he'd pooped right at the end of someone's path so I had a scoot through my pockets and found a receipt and scooped it into that ewww then I had to try and run home with it as I didn't want to bump into someone whilst holding poop precariously balanced in a small wrapper and of course Prince just wanted to take his own sweet time

Re: Note to self: check pocket for plastic bags...

Eeww, unlucky!

I had a similar incident with Tilly many years back. Didn't think to grab poo bags as I was only taking her to the vet (literally at the other end of our little street).
On the way back - in the snow I might add - she stopped right by where a couple of people were chatting outside their house and did a runny messy poo.... I had to try to pick up the mushy snow and poo mix with a tissue while they just stood there watching.
I guess I could have asked if they had a bag I could use but I was so embarassed I was pretending they weren't there.

Very glad she was just a wee bichon!

Oooh! At least I had some shredded tissues. There weren't any leaves about nor other people to ask for a bag!

Re: Note to self: check pocket for plastic bags...

My hubby was a sod for this. The amount of times he'd take Rupert out for a toilet walk out front, come back, take Ruperts lead off, grab a poo bag and go back out. You'd think he'd have learned after about the 20th time wouldn't you

I had someone ask me for a poo bag one day and then complain that my poo bags were too small to pick up her dogs poo

I did once have some kind person offer me a bag; I only took one, really stupid again. They were those little ones you buy and nowhere near big enough, but I would not have said so. I use Tesco carrier bags mostly!
