Brilliant!

But I will keep that in mind if I am ever in that situation.

Not kinda the same but I have never been so embarrased as when I was looking after my friends Northern Inuit, took him out a walk and took a few of the free poop bags we get from the council as they are much bigger than the ones you get on the rolls.

Problem was he was a bit stressed and well there was no way a hundred poo bags could have been used to scrape up what he did literally on someone's door step!

I had to knock on her door and ask for a bucket of water to try and get rid of it! Luckily she was very thankful that I hadn't just left it there and I took a bottle of water for that reason until his bowels cleared up

Lol, every time I read threads like this I aways have to comment as I think I top the lot of you.

I was once walking Mia past a school and she did a massive shite right in the entranceway. I went into my pocket to find I was bagless with not a tissue or leaf in sight . I deliberated over what to do for about two minutes and seriously considered doing a runner (it was dark and nobody was about) but in the end my resolve won and I had to pick up the massive Dane poop with my bare hand and put it in the nearest bin ! I spent the rest of the brisk walk home with my hand firmly extended from my body !!!

That is dedication I tell you!

Set Nights I WISH there were people like you here! There are Always piles of dog poo on the pavement leading to the school, I wish everyone was as dedicated to caring for their dog correctly.

Lol . I'm not even fond of children but I just don't think its nice at all for anyone to have to deal with that and it gives a bad name to all dog owners. Its a horrible thing to see and I've actually been tempted to do a one man (well, lady ) clean up operation of my local dog walking area as there is so much dog shite up there . I always make an effort to pick up when I can but I will admit I'm not perfect. There have been a few times she has had a really dodgy tummy and I've just had to leave it as there is no way I could have bagged it but I still feel bad . I just try and cover it up with leaves in those instances.

Re: Note to self: check pocket for plastic bags...

My dad goes one better!!

He goes out bagless all the time but takes his mobile. He will then call me or my mum and like one of the emergency services we get our coats on and rush down the street to scoop the poop.

Before I moved back in with them dad never picked up poop now however he doesn't mind and always has bags in his pocket. Its hilarious when you go down the pub with him a poop bag has so many uses

The funniest time was when he took Buster out and it was so runny we had to run down the road with a kettle full of water and disinfectant

Re: Note to self: check pocket for plastic bags...

i always have the opposite problem, everywhere i go i delve into my pocket for something and come out with the handfull of poo bags, these then get shoved in my bag so now i have a bag full of poo bags, so new bags get put in my trousers and the cycle continues, our house seems to be covered in poo bags where i've emptied my pockets and put them down somewhere. i didn't realise owning a dog would creat such problems, that's one you;re never warned about are you!
