i've heard people on other forums say that they would no longer consider havign a dobermann if they couldn't have them docked. to me a dobe is a dobe whether it's cropped and docked or natural. i like the look of the american dobes, but there is nothing like watching a dobe run with his ears flapping in the wind, and watching their tail wag happily at something they've spotted. got to admit though it does come keen when they whip you with it it's surprising how many people in this country still don't recognise the dobermann with a tail. i've had quite a few people ask me what he's crossed with, because he can't possibly be a pure bred with that tail

Re: who else is owned by dobermanns?

We've got Conan (crossed with gsd) but he looks more dobermann-y.

He is 19 months old and such a big softy and I love him to bits! So does everyone in our family. We took him to the hospital when my mum was having cancer treatment and we were asked by the nurses to bring him in for everyone to see, as they'd seen him meeting my mum when she came out

He also does the Bear attack thing as mentioned by Dober- where we've got laminate flooring he just scrabbled over it where he gets soo excited!

For what started as a scrawny worm filled puppy he has made a nice dog, He has a nice top line and tail set, it looks as though he has quite nice front angulation and his rear angulation looks reasonable. I might put him i a few fun shows this summer
