Recommendations for dog sitters/walkers

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know of any good dog walkers/sitters in the Milton Keynes area? My husband and I both work but either he comes home at lunchtime or I work from home, so our bernese pup isn't left for too long. But there is bound to be the odd day in the future when neither of us can be near home. Plus, we haven't spent any time together away from home since we got him, and it might be nice to have a bit more freedom, so I would like to recruit a good dog sitter who could visit and/or walk him.

If no-one is local, could you share some thoughts on what questions I should ask of a potential sitter, and what I should look out for?

Thanks x

Re: Recommendations for dog sitters/walkers

Unfortunately, although we cover your area for live in, we do not operate our dog walking service in the MK area.

Questions to ask as follows -

Are they insured

Are they registered - we are with PSI, since our pet sitters work overseas, but NARP's is the English version.

Are they police checked - very important since you are handing over your house keys.

Do they offer references - we always do.

Ask to see their credentials, and note how they interact with your dog.

Try calling your vets since they may have dog walkers listed.

Best of luck

Hi
I live in Milton Keynes, I would recommend Jill from www.petwatchmk.co.uk
She's fully insured and police checked.

Hi there!
I've just come across your ad, and had to reply asap.
Are you still looking for a dog-walker?
My fiance would absolutely jump at the chance for the job!
Daniel (24) is amazing with dogs, very caring and just seems to click with animals straight away. He is very physically fit!-so your pup would get a great run around! And all the love and attention he needs. His Rotty just recently passed away, so he feels a little lonely without his buddy around, so you wouldnt need to worry about him not getting enough fuss!
We live in Milton keynes, around the walnut tree area and it wouldnt be a problem to drive over!
If you are interested, just contact me through my hotmail - R.R.Sahota@hotmail.com and i can give you my number. My name is Minda by the way!
Thanks! x
