Not only does my handbag dog walk..

...she goes everywhere without a lead too!
I often take Heidi out with me in the car and stuff, well now when we go to a local pet store she knows where she is going as soon as we pull up she jumps out the car (with my permission of course) and runs up to the door, gets her biscuits from them and runs straight back to the car
I did used to take her on a walk round the village without a lead too but realised it probably wasn't a very clever idea, she is such a well behaved dog though she makes me proud

Re: Not only does my handbag dog walk..

She sounds lovely
I had a cairn/scottie cross a few years back that never left my side no matter where we went. He sat on my feet and just loved to be where ever I was. I never took him out without a leash (much to dangerous) but I doubt that he'd of gotten himself into trouble.

Re: Not only does my handbag dog walk..

She's so confident outside, bit wary of people but thats got much better since she was spayed. She's so bad for jumping in peoples cars though (she thinks car= going somewhere fun)
She's just decided shes going round my dads house, he came to pick my brother up and she has jumped in his car lol bye then Heidi

Love it
Happiest tiny yorkie I ever saw was up a mountain, covered in mud. She was a bit stressed about my collie towering over her, but decided to accept his presence as I was fussing her so much Teeny dogs still like doggy things, and I love seeing them getting to be doggy

Re: Not only does my handbag dog walk..

I wish I had a dog I trusted enough to not need a lead! I'd never walk along a roadside without a lead but it'd be nice to know that should anything happen (I fall/drop the lead/the lead breaks) the dog won't leave your side.

When heidi was a pup we used to pick her up to carry her over big puddles so now if she comes across a puddle she stands there expecting to be picked up! She doesn't seem to get too muddy even when shes tearing around the field but thankfully she hasn't got the yorkie coat lol

I did used to walk her along the roadside on the quieter roads but realised as much as I trust her it wasn't worth the risks and for some reason kids we would come across started chasing her in the park which she did not like, I did feel pretty smug walking around without needing a lead though haha
