Re: Finlay's life in pictures :)

Aww lovely boy

Ok, dumb question coming up.... I've never got close up to a Bedlington (saw a group of 4 or 5 when we were on the canal boat but they were on the tow path and we were on the boat!) and was just wondering whether it is just their coat that gives them the really roman nose shape or is it their skull shape? Sorry if that's really dumb but it kinda looks like it's all fur but I'm guessing they must have a similar head shape to an EBT ????

It is interesting as Finlay seems to have a very soft fuzzy coat and Beau seems to have a curlier coat but I do have to own up to making it curly by spritzing it every now and then, so between that and going out in the rain he gets cute ringlets

I do admire how Finlay is clipped , he looks like a proper Beddie, if he behaves well then there is nothing to say you couldn't do it. Just make sure you get proper clippers with the changeable blades as the grading combs sold with the cheaper sets are a nightmare on Beaus fur, I think coz Beddies fur doesn't grow in one direction the combs dont really work.

At the moment I tend to scissor trim Beau every 2 weeks or so, oh and I have also found the foam shampoo from pets at home is awesome for his fur and skin

More pics of Finlay pleeeeeeeeeeeeeese

Edit - Lol, I was ust looking at the pics again and Beau licked the screen I have never known him do that before, he must approve of his Beddie brother by another mother

Awww bless Beau!! That's brilliant!!

Finlay does seem to have a very puppy like coat still, so I hope he will get a bit curlier! His face is very curly and it seems to be slowly creeping down his back. Beau does have a gorgeous coat judging by his pictures

Foxyrockmeister - It's not a stupid question at all :P Actually, underneath all that fur is basically the shape of a whippet. They do have a fairly 'wedge' shaped head, but their skull is very similar to that of a whippet. The shape is created by the cut

Kat&Molly - He does seem to change alllll the time!! Everytime he goes to the groomers he seems to come back a different dog haha. The colour of his coat changes everytime, aswell as the actual coat itself. He was pretty curly as a pup, then it went a bit straighter and now it seems to be curling again. It's very strange haha.

Gorgeous boy

Fab pictures thanks, he's a really lovely boy.

Not a breed I see often, there are a cuple in the next village along from me but I've only ever passed them in the car.
