Indi's mum is on a distinguished road
Phew

Indi's just been for his booster jab. I've been fretting about it all week. Worrying about his weight and the fact he did not like the vet who did his jab last time.(he was quite rough with Indi).

But I'm so pleased the vet said he's the perfect weight. I always worry about hm cause jack (my mil's dog and Indi's uncle) is quite stocky and Indi is quite slight in comparison.
But she said he's about right. A lot of people think he's quite pudgy but he's just furry

No real point to this thread I'm just happy that he's not too skinny and I made it through the visit.

Although he did remember the vets and didn't want to go in I was one of those people who look like theyre so mean making him go through the door. but the lady who did his check and jab this time was lovely I'm going to make sure we see her from now on. All waggy tails and wet feet on my work clothes now

Re: Phew

Well I've just got home and as Indi is bouncing off all the walls it's safe to say todays injection hasn't bothered him like the last ones.

After his first ones he walked like an old man for two days.

Re: Phew

Know the feeling; Kilo had his on Monday - first time with a new vet....the vet seemed lovely and all was fine after I coaxed Kilo out from under the table . Made me smile when I got the usual 'he may be sleepy all evening' - he always is, so I wouldn't know any different!!

Ooh I would love a sleepy puppy, Indi is busy burying his car harness in the sofa and throwing his kong at me cause it's empty.

Know how you feel ! I always stress about the vets when Sailor sliced his paw, I was literally thinking about infections and whole leg amputations .... not to mention all the usual worries of will the vet be happy with his weight and general health!

I think I stress soo much more than Sailor... because I dread going through the vet doors and it is Sailor that drags me in to the vets

Glad all is well with Indi and long may it continue

PPS ... go fill the Kong, poor Indi

I can picture the scene...Sailor pulling and pulling and thinking 'oooh vet...brilliant' with his whole body wagging like it does whilst you get reluctantly towed in through the door with an air of worry and reluctance .

Kilo is happy to walk in. Then...THE FLOOR . He goes like Bambi on ice skittering all over the place, then sits on my feet in the waiting room leaning against me as hard as he can for treats and fuss without actually climbing on my lap . Then we get called in and he skitters in and is happy enough until something deadly like THE STETHOSCOPE appears when he backs under the table looking suspicious. Cue me getting out the squeezy cheese so that he will come out and he has something to occupy him whilst the vet checks him...otherwise he would be between my knees or back under the table . Then, when it is all done he is suddenly happy and waggy and goes to investigate whether the vet has treats or the nurse in reception...the floor is magically all forgotten and he is playing 'cute' for all he is worth to wangle biscuits from the staff .

Yea, that is pretty much exactly what we look like

I think Kilo has every right to be scared of the deadly stethoscope.... his abit thin (fur) on the chest.. so naturally it will be brrrrr cold for him

Going back to Indi... I love watching dogs that dont want to go into the vets and they dig their little paws into the super slippy tiles one day dogs will learn how to cling to door frames (or atleast I hope they do!)

If Indi has to go to the vets for anything more important than a check up I'll be a wreck, I had to take my mil this morning!
The kong has been filled... And emptied I'm now throwing a giraffe!(now his head is falling off.. Giraffe not Indi)

Indi didn't quite cling onto the door frame but did claw the door step and gave great 'rescue me' eyes to my mil.
