Blankets and Beds....:0)

Bit of an odd one but never mind!

Our Pippin sleeps at the bottom of our bed (by morning she is with us, but she always starts with good intentions!). Were looking for a super comfy fleece that she can nest into at night. She has a vet bed in the window so can she be a curtain twitcher, but im looking for something super snug for bed.

Sometimes on the net you cant tell what products are like so thought I would ask some advice from the best!

Also, Pippin never uses her bed in the living room, which is fine by us so long as she is happy. Does anyone elses dog not use their bed much?!

Sorry to post a weird one!

Re: Blankets and Beds....:0)

Hey my dogs fave bed was an made of 2 single quilts we got from the charity shop.. we put both quilts into a single cover and folded it in half.. she loved that bed to bits!
now at night she has a couple of pillows in a crate.. cos my OH gets annoyed when she comes into the bed- she steals all the covers!! lol

we had a big cushion bed in the living room for her.. she didnt use it tho until we got her new crate, i dont think she liked her bed bein so open. lol.

Re: Blankets and Beds....:0)

Some people I talk to say its awful that she sleeps on the bed, but were quite happy with it. Probably not the best hence why they make dog beds.....but were all happy!

Ill have a look in charity shop, probably an awful lot cheaper!

Re: Blankets and Beds....:0)

I would be interested in the same.
Since the chesy has grown up he hogs the settee at night and Alf is on quilts on the bedroom floor which can get a bit cold, as we like to have the window open.
He is going to get osteo arthritis worse with age and I feel that I should try and get him a nice snuggly bed.
Any ideas

Re: Blankets and Beds....:0)

meh.. i dont care who says it bad for dogs to sleep in your bed.. much easier than getting up in the middle of the night to refill a hot waater bottle! dogs never get cold when theyr cuddled up into you!
I always let them out their crate so they can come into the bed for a hug early in the morning. They know whos boss tho if i tell them to get off they do

charity shops r great places 2 look for dog beds.. mind u my petshop is fairly cheap.. for £12 dixies big cushion fits neatly inside her 42" crate

Re: Blankets and Beds....:0)

Good deal on the cushion!

Dogs love to be with us, they love us and I think thats an honour for us to have.

Pippin does sleep with us, but she knows when its sleep time and when we tell her to go to her bit she does. Same thing with the sofa and if someone has food...she stays down.

I guess some people do let their dogs rule the roost, but I think that as long as there are guidelines and the dog knows, then great!

Re: Blankets and Beds....:0)

Moss sleeps on a towel in the kitchen. It sounds awful but it's what he prefers, that or the couch when he's snuggled up next to us or the kids.

We don't let him upstairs, so our bed isn't an option (That's more because we co-sleep with our 9 month old baby, so it wouldn't be good!).
