I've noticed that they do that on a number of forums. They appear to police the forums for any negative posts about them and demand them removed

what i would like to know Mark is when will you stop this predudice towards people that have registared with dlrc? its prejudice?

I want to know how they are going to check prefix applications as to not use ones which have been granted by the KC and are paid for.

Look at the KC website and the DLRC website and tell me honestly who is doing the best for the future of all dog breeds. There is nothing informative on the DLRC website, it's just a quick portal to get a piece of paper with a supposed pedigree on it. Anyone can get a DLRC pedigree certificate, I could go on there now, pay my money and have a completely made up pedigree if 7 days times. DLRC registration means nothing.

pmsl....oh why does this amuse me! the KC have lots to answer for..interbreeding, ect ect..i may not be a breeder, but hey! has ANYONE stopped to think why? hypocrites comes to mind...

Who's a hypocrite? I didn't say you were a breeder, neither am I. I would never dream of buying a dog registered with DLRC as there's absolutely no point to them in my opinion. If you can just make up pedigrees and no one checks they are real, what's the point? It means nothing.

The KC have done a lot, admittedly they aren't perfect but no organisation is. They support and fund endless lists of animal welfare organisations, they still fund numerous organisations despite them turning on them following PDE. I think that says a lot. They hold databases of health information to aid breeders and store pedigrees going back more years than I've been around. They have indepth information to help owners, potential owners and breeders to do the right thing, find a good breeder etc.

What does the DLRC do that even begins to compare to that?

Maybe prefixes could be like private car number plates. Peeps could sell them. THis could be a bit of a money spinner....

once again did i aim the post at anyone? NO.
so why be so defensive? who people choose to reg their pets with is a personal choice.some ppl SO need to get a life

there is a huge amount of snobbery on here,as far as alot of people are concerned if you dont do as they do,and dare to be different your a bad person and in the wrong!SHUT UP ABOUT REGISTERS AND PEDIGREES AND GET OF YOUR PEDESTALS BEFORE YOU FALL AND BREAK YOUR NECKS!!!

What a very mature post,
I give a hoot as I do not want an affix I paid for and pay yearly to maintain used by a BYB or PF and associated with a club who supports puppy farming.I have ethics and morals which I will make no apology for.
May I suggest you read the PDE thread,that will explain some of the biased views of the programme.
