where to buy jack russell?

Hello,

i live in belgium and i want to buy a jack russell pup in England.
Where can i buy one so i'm sure they are rabbies vaccinated an micro-chipped with pasport from a vet(to import the pup in belgium)?
I search a trustable kennel.

Is it also in the UK that it's forbidden to shorten the tail?

kind regards
Dieter

Hello and Welcome!!

Are you on a diet for Christmas? What diet are you on? I must admit I have been a bit careful so I can fit in to my party frocks

I suggest you take a trip to the uk and visit a few breeders and their dogs to make sure you get the right pup!!

I have now a Jack Russell but (Arno is his name) he is now 15 years old.
I want to buy a pup before Arno die.

Re: where to buy jack russell?

it may be easier to get a parson russell terrier ,the prt club have there own web site and have a list of breeders or the kennel club have a puppy list ,you would then have to approach the breeder ,to enquire if they are willing to send the puppy belguim and do the nessasary requirements of pet passport, do you intend to collect the puppy ,it may be worth looking on the defra site ,as you may not need a full passport
lol i have a litter due in 6 weeks time and live near a ferry

As Jack Russells are not recognised by the Kennel Club I think your best bet is to google Jack Russell breeders and contact them directly.

GOod luck and would love to see some pics of Arno.

Re: where to buy jack russell?

We looked for a Jack Russell pup for absolutley ages - 2 years at least! We used to breed them years ago and decided that it was time for another one in our family. Beware we cam across some breeders that were clearly 'just in it for the money', bitches pupping till they were 8yrs old! Some coming away from their parents before 8 wks! We were blessed in that a local farmer had a litter, so we just happened upon her.
We used to look on Friday ads and epupz but we found out from a friend of a friend

Generally speaking I would maybe inquire through your neariest vet, and he may also know of someone who maybe breeding. Even Check at your local pet shop, they may know of somebody that breeds the Jack russell, Good luck!
