advice needed , asap ...

id like to ask for your advice on something ...

we have 3 jack russells (mother , father and baby (male) , which we kept from the litter the mother had)

mother and father have both had the op to stop more babies , but we havent got round to getting our pup done (8months) ...

recently the pup has become more and more aggressive towards the father , today i had to literally put my hand between there teeth to get them apart .... will this stop when we finally have the pup nautered or will we have to find him a new home ?

all advice appriciated

Personally, unless they do each other serious injury, I would let them get on with it. I woudl imagine your pup is attemptiong to become head of the pack as he reaches maturity. IF this is your only reason to neuter, then the situation might settle itself more easily with one entire and one neutered male.

If they meant injury to each other, it would have happened. Dogs have good bite inhibition with each other, as well as humans. Trying to seperate them i likely to mean injury to you. Also,t hey are likely to sort things out more quickly if you don't intervene.

My youngest bitch is reaching maturity now and as a result we have had a couple of 'fights' with the slightyl older one (4 months between them). It can sound and look very frightening, but they do not mean to hurt each other, they are just sorting out their pecking order.
