hi, I am sanku from India. Recenty i got a 4 month old GSD from a fren who was not able to keep it. After I got him, I realised that the pup is not at all trained and does not respond to anything except his name.... Please help with how to train a 4 month old GSD...By the way his name his murph

treat him as you would an 8 week old puppy, go right back to basics.

Has he been vaccinated? He needs to be out and about experiencing new things, especially with a GSD!

go back to basics.. give him time to adjust to his new surroundings, ensure he has all his vaccines.

praise him when he does good things and don't get mad when he does the not so good things.

hope he settles into his new home soon

my g.s.d when she was a pup would go out for walks but hold it in till she came home put her outside as soon as he/she wakes and after eating and any other opportunity available I know it's a pain you will get there! When mine was 5 months then all of a sudden it clicked! She's 3 now and hasn't had any accidents yet. Now if it was a jack russell that's another story........ Good luck!
