Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

I do and I don't. It depends a little on my mood, i have my greta garbo days.

But usually I'm in a more gregarious mood but i try never to assume that others are. If after i've checked out the dog the owner isn't making eye contact or smiling i'll just call out " morning/afternoon/evening" delete as applicable and carry on.

I also try not to bump into Judy too near the start of a walk but make sure i catch up with her later. Judy is in her 70's walks with a stick so it makes my walk a little slow, but i know how much she loves a chat. She did bring a tear to my eye the other day. Judy lost her husband last summer but she hears his voice every day when she gets home from her walk with tag(her old gentleman of a JRT) Her parrot calls out in her husbands voice " Judy is that you?"

Sorry started rambling there.
So yes sometimes i'm a stalker lol

Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

I stalk other springer owners sometimes except for the nasty one who always attacked Jake

I confess I stalked 2 RRs yesterday at a dog show, had to go right up to them to check they really were RRs! Don't see many round here.

Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

I don't need to as there are dogs everywhere on nearly every walk I go on. I have been 'stalked' though which I found particually annoying as I was trying to take Shadow to a quieter part of the park to do some training

Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

I do stalk in p@h I will intentionally go down the aisles where there are dogs
Yesterday we met a tiny puppy that was a week older than kiva ha ha I think he was maybe a miniature something? Jack Russell? Anyway he was very playful and was rather frustrated that he couldn't reach kivas head, but they had a nice play. Then we met a gorgeous blue (? He looked blue, and was called blue ) greyhound (or possibly a whippet?) Who kiva seemed to really like and ended up laying on the floor him to sniff and we also met a very handsome cocker spaniel who appeared friendly as we appriached, but then when we got close he had a little growl and a bark, but that was before we met blue so it was a happy ending sorry for the ramble!

Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

I admit I did it last sunday I went to the park at 8:30 because I've met one of Izzys best friends around that time twice before so I was hoping to bump into them. We walked around the park with no sign so I sat on a bench for 10 minutes, was about to get up and go home when I saw a small flash of blonde come flying in the gate, looked awfully familiar so got up, walked over and yup it was Declan, so let Izzy off had a chat with his owner for a bit!

Deliberately went around the same time yesterday, no sign so hung around and ended up seeing another of Izzys friends, but no Declan after a good play we left the park and walked back to the car and saw Declan being walked back into his house (they live right next to the park). I had the schedule right, they clearly just decided against going to the park that morning!

Maybe next time I see them I'll talk to them about arranging a walk once a week instead of being some weirdo who always seems to turn up whenever they do

Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

We have been stalking in the park today too met lots of lovely dogs and got talking to one owner who had a lovely little black terrier (she didn't say what type and I'm not that familiar with terrier to know) and made a point of asking when she goes to the park because her dog and kiva hit it straight off we want lots of doggy friends ha ha

Re: I'm a stalker... are you?

I stalk people- but not close enough to say hi, to play the look at that game, which probably makes me even more weird!!!!
