Re: What has your dog done to make you proud today?

Roxy has been a star lately. She cut her paw quite badly over a week ago & since then has not been able to go out for walks. She has been so good about this despite being obviously upset when Toby & I go out.

She has been really brave when having it bathed, it looks so sore & must hurt her alot but she has been so co-operative during this - Toby would have been a nightmare as he is such a baby. I hate seeing her like this & limping round the garden trying to play as normal, hopefully we can have asome 5min lead walks this week.

With Toby I am most proud that he had a piece of hotdog sausage sat in front of him for 3mins (we timed it!) & had to 'leave'. It was torture for him ; he was drooling & whimpered at one point but then was finally allowed his prize & an extra piece for being such a good boy

Re: What has your dog done to make you proud today?

Maya was so excited today to find I ha stopped and talked to some strangers, well she had to come over to say hello. One guy was in a wheelchair, i'm very proud of her because she actually just sat there, often she'll roll over and many people can't reach her but she sat perfectly and allowed the gentleman to pet her

I really hope to get her in as a therapy dog when I move to the states.

Re: What has your dog done to make you proud today?

I was really proud of Kas this morning, took her to the dog park where she was playing with one of her puppy friends – it’s always the puppies that she wants to play with for some reason! Anyway, she had some nasty scabs on her cheeks because the puppies she plays with always seem to grab on to them, but she doesn’t seem to mind at all. Today, her little lab friend was doing the same, snapping pretty hard at some points too, but she seemed really happy playing with him so I let her get on with it. When I got home, I saw that one of the scabs on her cheek had been ripped off during the play and was bleeding a fair bit. I was so proud of her because it must have hurt her but she’s so good natured that she didn’t retaliate at all, she just kept playing. Still, I think I might have to keep her away from the puppies for a bit for her own good!
