Run Willow Run
Today we have been to a local companion show. As part of the show they had a scurry class which was split into big dogs and small dog. Willow isn't normally allowed of lead as italian greyhounds have the same hunting instincts as a whippet or greyhound. He runs quite happily on a flexi lead.
The distance I'm not sure about OH says it wasn't 100 yds but was more than 50yds nearer to the 100 I would sa. On his first attempt he did it is 5.5 seconds but they said you can have as many goes as you like. I knew he could run faster than that so later we took him back and he did it in 4.03 seconds. They anounced the winners and not only had he won the small dogs he had also done it faster than any of the big dogs. People said about him being a whippet so I had to keep saying he was an itailan greyhound with a tiny bit of whippet in him. Iggies are not bred to run Buck is so slow a snail would have beaten him.
The others had a good day too Lily 2nd in the puppy walk class we thought she was about 7 months but we have been told she still has her puppy teeth so is most likely under 6 months and 4th in dog most like his owner. Willow was 5th in handsom dog, Romeo 4th in the pedigree puppy class and Buck was 1st in the av pedigree junior class.
So not a bad day at all 2 1st place, 1 2nd place 2 4th places and a 5th.
