Weather Nightmare

Hubby took Harvey & Willow out earlier on for their evening walk, this was after I had given her her daily brush - went out dry & fluffy & whilst they were out we had some sort of freak thundery downpour which lasted for about 15 mins. We had the whole works - thunder, lightening & big blobby torrential rain

Well I thought I would be the good samaritan & go out in hubby's car, find them and pick them up - that's where my plan came unstuck He got his brand new car today so I grabbed the key & rushed to get in it. Why, oh why do they not make things simple anymore & just have a key which you turn in the ignition to start the car? No - you have to put the key fob in a slot which is straight forward enough and then I thought just press the 'start' button and off we go. No, no I was wrong, nothing happened apart from loads of lights on the dashboard I must have sat for 15 mins taking the key fob in & out & pressing start. In the end I had to resort to getting the manual out & reading up on how to start the thing. Got that sorted and thought great, here I go BUT no, couldn't get it into reverse then By this time I was so frustrated with it I gave up & went back into the house.

They came back not long after & hubby's first words were 'thought you would have come & picked us up' Arrrgggghhh I told him the tale and he just laughed and said 'I wondered how long it would take you to figure it out haha'

For Sale - Hubby with warped sense of humour

Re: Weather Nightmare

Oh look at poor willow.

I have had the same issue with OH's company car. He's had it 18 months and i still haven't even moved it off the drive. The gear stick comes out of the dashboard. everything seems to be in the wrong place and have extra layers of complication.

As for having OH for sale.... does he do DIY? would he live in shed?

Re: Weather Nightmare

Love the pics but the dogs don't look impressed. I hired a car abroad once and it took me half an hour to work out how to drop the sunroof lol.

Re: Weather Nightmare

We got caught in that downpour yesterday too....took shelter in a bus shelter until it started to clear but me OH and the 2 dogs we soaked to the skin, Lexi hates rain at the best of times so was most certainly not impressed.
