Re: homeless people

i`ve often wondered also. it`s the same with the druggies and drunks round here, their dogs just follow them obediently and never put a foot wrong, i dunno about homeless people but i don`t see someone who struggles to control their own problems being able to train a dog that well so it`s always baffled me

Re: homeless people

Perhaps they have more time on their hands for training then those with homes and jobs and kids etc. They may not have to do formal training.....just being with the dog 24/7 telling it what it needs to do would work.
As for drunks and druggies, i find dogs seem to know when you aren't functioning 100% and stick like glue and behave well. They might just sense their owner needs them.

Re: homeless people

Ok I am going to mention the cm word!
But I do remember on one of his episodes he mentioned homeless peoples dogs and said they were so well behaved because their owners walked them, a lot, and something about the dogs respecting their owners because its a natural thing for dogs to do, thqt and the fact that they're knackered? Ha he

but i`m with my dogs 24/7 and actually try to train them properly yet they`re still little s**** half the time and would defo get too excited in the crowds you see these dogs walking through obediently.
