Pennys plaster is coming off.

Penny had her spay Thursday and on her check up on Saturday vet said her plaster would come off on its own. And it is.

Problem is its half on and half off how do i get the other part off without it hurting her? I wouldnt normally bother but its bugging her and she is shaking and going mental trying to get it off.

I wondered if we could dab it with a wet wipe in the hopes it loses its sticky but dont want to cause issues for her.

Re: Pennys plaster is coming off.

When Tink was spayed I just got out the first aid scissors and cut of the hanging bit and let the rest come off in it's own time.

Re: Pennys plaster is coming off.

If you have some surgical spirit, you can dab it on the sticky bit only, and it will come off really easily.

Warm water might do the trick if you don't have any.

Ok will dab it with water and cut off the bit thats dangling. Penny is cross with me right now for telling her not to lick.

Only 6 more sleeps until the stitches come out and me and other half can sleep. We are taking it in turns to watch her through the night so she can be collar free.
