Question Having a lay in with a dog

I've not been feeling too well this week, and last night I slept 11 hours

I took clover out at 10 pm last night and she went out at 10 am this morning. I felt ever so gulity.. bless her. She doesn't wake me up to go out, she's so good, which adds to my gulit

is a proper lay in a thing of the past once you have a dog ?

Re: Having a lay in with a dog

I wouldn't feel guilty - my 2 love snuggling in their beds all morning
I got up at 9 this morning - (that's a lie in for me)
Lilly went out for a wee and then fell asleep on the sofa, Zipper didn't get out of bed until 11 and then he went out for a wee and went straight back to his bed

Re: Having a lay in with a dog

No chance of a lay in for me this morning. At 2.30am something was yapping most likely a young fox nearby that started first Willow barking and then the others downstairs. Once something has disturbed them they are hard to get to settle again.

At about 5.45 I got up and fed them which is late for them as it is normally 4.30 that they get their breakfast as I start work at 5.30. Then back to bed for a couple of hours.

Anything after 4.30 is a lay in for me as if we are showing it is usually an early start anyway.

Re: Having a lay in with a dog

I never get a lie in. I've got chickens so if I try just end up feeling guity about them still being locked up.
That and Mollys claws running down my face
Being ill is different though- hope you feel better soon.
