Kenzie's having a pyjama day

Today it's been pretty miserable, drizzling on and off all day.

Kenzie's spent pretty much all day just sleeping, apart from when I've taken her out. Usually she'd spend a fair bit of time during the day pottering around the flat (I don't have a garden) but today it's like she's having a pyjama day I know from previous experience it will probably mean she'll be double trouble tomorrow

She's very animated when it looks like she might get some food or go out for a walk though!

Anyone else have a dog who does this sometimes?

Re: Kenzie's having a pyjama day

Oooh I wish! No pyjama days in Lily and Branston's world I'm afraid.

Every day's an exciting adventure, which must be carried out at 100mph and involve much playing, fighting, chewing and barking!!

I wish. The four horsemen of the apocolypse could be galloping across the heavens and my dogs would still want to go out. If only to see what all the fuss was about..

Re: Kenzie's having a pyjama day

Yes, we have all had a pajama day!
Esp me coz i got in from a nightshift this morning and so have been dozing on the sofa all day......with my 3 Muskerhounds of course!! It has been raining all day and other then a very quick run out to the garden this morning they havent even been out. Everytime I open the door to the garden they peer out then run back indoors again.

Re: Kenzie's having a pyjama day

Kilo would want to go out, no matter what the weather was like....every day is a pyjama day for him apart from that though...he gets excited about food, walks and a few play sessions, otherwise he just sleeps and lounges about.

Re: Kenzie's having a pyjama day

Sailor rarely notices the weather, he seems to think every day is a sun shiney day.

If I potter about at the back door on a cold wet day waiting for him to have a loo break, he will just stand in the middle of the garden staring at me, hardly even blinking when the torrential rain is smacking him right in the eyeballs

On walks he will pull me along and every so often shake from head to toe, because the drenched coat his burdened with is starting to weigh him down... but apart from that I think Sailor is actually allergic to pyjama days, judging by the way he avoids any sort of chilled/relaxed time

Re: Kenzie's having a pyjama day

Those of you whose dogs don't mind the rain, do they swim too?

Kenzie doesn't mind drizzle, and she doesn't mind getting her feet wet, but she hates proper rain and she most certainly does not swim!

Re: Kenzie's having a pyjama day

OMG !!!
what a horrid person I am, I forgot about Ace and how Ace feels about pyjama days how awful I am !

Ace on the other hand, loves nothing more than laying beside me with his head on me having his ears fussed
He would be a pyjama day dog, but unfortunately he has to follow me and Sailor through the rain ... but he gets to explore some nice places and chase his tennis balls, so he just about reluctantley manages missing out on pyjama days

Rain, puddles, streams, bogs, lakes, rivers, creeks, the sea... if it's wet, they love it!!

Oh, apart from the hose pipe or the shower - they are not impressed with these forms of water and haven't yet worked out that when they go swamp diving on a walk it WILL result in the hose pipe or the shower when we get home!
