Am i INSANE?!

Am insane for wondering this:
Dog collars cost alot and i only get £10.00 a month. If i use Domestoes toilet cleaner or other toilet cleaner its bleach right? if it is what happens if i put a dog collar in a bowl of it over night? Will it turn white or what i have a red collar and a blue collar they are same fabric as your usual dog collar fabric. Please reply before i accidently sleep walk and do this {dont think i will but i guess its possible}

Depends on the strength of the bleach. But yeah, I would expect it to loose all it's colour

They might not go white but they will change colour. My guess is to pink and pale blue/green.

Are you wanting to clean them? If so I just put mine in a pillowcase and put them in the washing machine when I do Daisy's blankets

Re: Am i INSANE?!

If I remember correctly it may damage the fabric and make it more likely to break under strain. Can't remember the exact details but my sister tried bleaching some clothes once and they ended up full of holes and falling apart lol
Not what you want for a collar that keeps your dog safe.

Re: Am i INSANE?!

If you use the Domestos neat then you will definitely ruin the fabric.

Why do you want to bleach it?

Pets at Home, Wilkinsons, etc., have dog collars that are not too expensive. PAH start at under £3, Wilkos start at £1.99, and there's ebay.

Re: Am i INSANE?!

I wasnt thinking of cleaning them but more of a 'turning them white or different colour' i just put some blobs of Paranot something which is called 'strongest bleach, kills flu virus' on the inside of collar where it wont matter if it turns bad color hope it wont put a hole through 001_unsure:

This was my thought too.

Like DG said you can get cheap collars from various places, and often people have collars in good condition that they are selling on this forum too. Otherwise how about finding a way to earn a bit of extra money? I know you probably can't get a proper job yet but maybe people in your neighbourhood have little jobs that you could do for them?
